- Did you do the lining by hand? Very impressive0
- Cliff- We had a meeting in Pensylvania Before the Rouge GP 38 came out. A few test shots of the shell were available. This was the start of this model. I used a couple to make the main body, and crashed and bashed some truck side frames. Other details such as horns etc were N scale. This engine is a figmant of my imagination and does not stand up to ribbit counters- but it was the FIRST hood unit In Z. I guess I should have posted this picture many years ago, because today it is just HO HUM, and would have been an eye opener before all the HOODS on the rails today. You must remember this was early Z-when all we had were the F-7's and a couple of steamers. Also my favorite tool is a box opener knife. It's sharp and has a good solid grip. No Lasers or computer generated stuff. I'm STILL in the stone age! I did work off loco pictures, but added liberal artist licence. Read that: I added a whole lot of do dads that might not be on a real engine- but I like to dazzel with details so the big flaws go unnoticed. Plus it looked good with the two foot rule. Posting here with the advantage of real up close.. might take some of the mystery out of the model.<br />Fred0
