They have to be painted anyway.. all layouts are fantasy with a touch of reality. Might as well put characters and things on there that people would recognize, but could still blend in. The Trekkies I painted could be the real crew back to the future or just some fans going to a Sci-fi show. <br />I really like the look of the Military barracks that MTL has. If you guys were ever at the show in Pleasanton, I stayed at buildings just like that at Camp Parks nearby. Of course for Gomer I can use the Quonset huts.
