- we had fun day reason for felt was cut nose down when in apt under board is 1/8 masonite then 2inch of pink foam then board was covered with felt for 2 reasons one if any thing fell off helix would not break. other was noise reduction. like your idea canvas have give it try. Double helix been dragged to more 30 shows<br />litte no problem other bridge came loose couple times0

I've always wondered if that would make for a good base for a portable layout. ;-)0
