- Hi Michael, you are very welcome. This types of building were very specific for the Raiffeisen Group. More than 1000 of that syle of buidings are located in Germany, Austria and Swiss. Wish you good luck on your pans and really exciting to see the final result.0
- mhommer,
It looks like a coat of med gray and then paint white let dry good then try either lightly scrap some white off where you want it or lightly sand off the white till the gray show in the areas you would want. Try out on a piece of plastic first. Good luck with what ever you find out!0
- Excellent, thanks for the link. I like the washed out painted concrete look on the tower. I will have to research how to recreate that weathering pattern.0
- Found a photo of one of the originals. All building of this group follows nearly the design. I found this one and like it with the tracks like you build it up. This Building is located Austria. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8...orf_bei_Hartberg.jpg0
- A nice shot form your layout. Is it the Big Storage Buildings Raiffeisen Scale Z 1:220 from Kibri 6607. Really nice work. For your information Raiffeisen is a Brand name and mainly dealing with farmer product. Here a
link unfortually only available in German. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raiffeisen0
- Michael, you can count on one thing.....if the building has been standing for any length of time, the white is now less than perfectly white. Dirt is going to show fairly quickly I should think, so grime is very acceptable.0
- Almost smooth, just a very fine bump finish that with minimal sanding would be perfectly smooth.0
- Michael, What type of texture does the White part have brick or rock or flat finish?0
- Thank you for the complements. I wish I was up to kit bashing but not there yet. It is a Kibri kit #36607. I tried an India Ink wash on the roofs as well as the tan walls to try and bring out the pattern more. Not sure how best to weather or 'tone down' the white walls. Suggestions welcomed.0
- Nice job0
- Michael, Nice progress! Building looks great! Looks like you might have bashed a few building to get these good results. Really cool looking! Got that high rise look! Well done;-)0
