- "What are you using for the roadway and how are you adhering it to the layout?"

It's thick paper, painted with a gray acrylic paint. The sidewalks are another layer on top with a slightly brighter gray. The markings are thin white adhesive label, cut to the required size. The walls are painted styrol. I'm using uhu holz, a syntetic wood glue, that glues almost everything, including marklin plastic. The layers look like this: thin (4mm) plywood on a wooden frame, various cork layers, paper, paint. For the roadbed, i've used woodland scenics ballast glued to the cork base. The dirt is made with a sandy glue paste and then painted with earth brown. Actually, this small layout was meant to be a test layout to try out various techniques and to test run locomotives after a repair.

"Did you shorten the tankers as well?"

No, the only shortened cars are the two bcl passanger cars. The rest is original marklin, mostly old insider and mhi models I bought from various places.

best wishes: Viktor0
- This is a great way to make a smaller line appear more productive :-)

Did you shorten the tankers as well?0
