My first tries of custmize cars
Image information
Description
After getting in contact with Z Central Station homepage by recommdantion of Alex
I really was impressed when I have a look to the Gallery and all the very good car weathered out I saw there.
So impressed I tried to do my first steps to weather out or customize car by myself.
I collect some basic information in the internet and find some value tips there.
The colors and material I use were handmade. It's quite easy to use natuare basic stuff like coal or even ashes from burned newspaper to create you pigment and get real natuaral color out of them. If you like to buy that pigment they are really expensive.
Don't hesitate to contact me for information.
Looking forward to your feedback

- Pete,<br /> I haven't really done much Weathering on train cars But Have done some on vases and painting other projects. So this is just opinion. I think it's a little over none on the sides of the car. I think a good start would be to just use less real large material but a dusting of the color to age the outside of the car, finer material will help with the look and not cover up the details on your car you want to weather. For "Z" scale the coal looks pretty large for coal load. Most cars move along the track at a speed that Rain and dust and dirt from the movement from the train moving across the tracks from place to place Plus stick to the sides. Natural causes with the rain and metals rusting. I hope this helps!!!!!;-)0
