- Walt- I posted the STATE flags on "Just For Fun" Forum. The catalogs from the above companies have great pics of ALL the flags.0
- Walt- Somewhere on ZCS I posted many flags- not sure where now- Butt--CRW and Carrot top sites have good pics of all the flags including specialties. Generally I copy and zap to Z size- that does vary-- the Fort Mc Henry "Star Spangled Banner" in 1813- was 30'x42'--1.6"x 2.3" in Z!!;-) All my flags are much smaller-- There are decals for N scale U.S flags but I have not used them much. Most flags are the same on both sides- a few like Massachusettes had two different sides-- One a Pine Tree in a shield and the other side an Indian--recently- within the past 20? years they went with the Indian- Massasoiut on both sides. If a flag is to be seen from both sides--(Not up against a building blocking that view) I just glue thread between both copies and then tie the thread to the staff or flag pole--- looks much better than gluing directly to pole. I think Maryland has the craziest flaq- State song is "Oh Christmas tree" and state sport is jousting--Actually flags in the same area can be seen flying in opposing directions.. I often had to concider wind when docking and it truely is serendipidous. Hope this schpeel helps....0
- Fred,
looks great!!! ;-) Like those tugs! still can see the detail even from this far away! I need to get some of your flags are they just one sided? really cool Shot! twin towers! Like your fenders on the first tug, I use to make them from 2" and 3" rope for our small boats!0
- Love it Fred.0
- There must be a simple way-- How do you take a picture of tall buildings so that they are all vertical and not leaning this way and that- Tried long distance with zoom to get closer and better detail- tried no zoom.
This is the best of the bunch- all the rest look like the leaning towers of Gizzah.:-)Oh- I have a simple Cannon point and shoot 8.00
