- Nice work Fred0
- This is a test to see if it works-- a source for paper buildings.
www.illinoishistory.gov/ps/construct_mainstreet.htm#BYOL0
- Thanks Kin--It looks a LOT better camoflaged with a LOT of bushes and trees. I hesitated putting this picture
out there, but for the beginners, and those working with a tite budget ( Better change that to: sweet wife that knows where every nickel goes)-- this is a posibility for making buildings. They can be replaced as better modeling progresses, and then thrown in the dust bin.0
- Considering the time frame you are talking about Fred, and
what was avaible back then. I have to say, Its darned good
work.(I hate to say that. But you did good.;-)0
- This set of buildings is rather crude by todays standards- but they were cutting edge for me in the early 80's. Not much out there in Z back then- even the color copier was a rareity. This was an add in a real estate brochure-close to Z. Glued it to some wood, added some clumzy roof detail- and bam- I had a Z building. It actually fit in well with the Marklin storefrontz. Well sorta...
With todays copiers, and the fancy real estate magazines that are free at the grocery store, a much better building can be made. Especially for those just starting out and can't get the brass ones just yet..
Also it might be something to check out for that special window or door you need.0
